As the fourth-largest metro area in the nation, Dallas-Fort Worth has emerged as a thriving technology hub, attracting both industry giants and startups. Between 2018 and 2023, the region added nearly 50,000 new technology roles, further cementing its status as a leader in innovation.
This prestigious Dallas Business Journal award recognizes women who are shaping industries such as finance, insurance, and real estate through technology. Honorees are selected based on their proven ability to drive pivotal decisions in the development and implementation of technology within their organizations.
Each year, fewer than 25 recipients receive this distinguished award, with selections made by Business Journal newsroom leaders and past honorees.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized by the Dallas Business Journal alongside other leaders who are driving innovation in technology. This award is a testament to the transformative work being done by women across various industries in the Dallas-Fort Worth area,” said Janine Jovanovic.
Jovanovic serves as Chief Executive Officer of LeaseLock, leading the transformation of risk management in rental housing. A former board member and investor of the company, Jovanovic stepped in as CEO in 2023. LeaseLock removes the large upfront cost of deposits, creating greater access to housing for renters, while protecting property owners from damage expense and unpaid rent.
Under Jovanovic’s leadership, LeaseLock has expanded beyond lease insurance to include AI-driven screening, fraud prevention, cash management, credit-building, and delinquency management – offering property owners a smarter, data-driven approach to financial protection while increasing housing benefits for renters.
The Dallas Business Journal’s 12th annual Women in Technology Awards program will take place on May 15 at the Omni Dallas Hotel. Honorees will be profiled in the May 16 weekly edition and online.
