Why LeaseLock?

Potential, Culture, Commitment, and the Right Time

In this ongoing series, we explore the journeys of industry leaders who have chosen to align themselves with LeaseLock. Today, we sit down with Laura Williams, SVP of Product, to understand her passion for the real estate industry, her role in driving innovation, and why LeaseLock stands out as the perfect place for her to make an impact.

Q: How did you first become interested in the real estate industry, and what has kept you passionate about it?

A: My real estate career began unexpectedly during college, but I quickly grew passionate about the industry. Starting in operations and later shifting into business data and analytics, I developed a deep understanding of how to bridge the gap between technology and business. This experience has allowed me to effectively lead cross-functional teams that ensure LeaseLock’s engineering innovations align with user needs and create the most added value for our users.

Q: What motivated you to make the transition to LeaseLock?

A: Joining LeaseLock was a significant shift for me, but what initially drew me in were the innovative solutions LeaseLock offers—solutions that address real challenges I’d encountered throughout my real estate experience. However, I was truly sold when I met the team. Who I work with makes a huge difference, and the team at LeaseLock is driven to make meaningful change in the industry. The alignment of passion and potential between both the brand and the team made my transition easy and exciting.

Q: How does your background contribute to your role at LeaseLock?

A: My background in both technology and business allows me to further LeaseLock’s mission by taking in feedback from stakeholders and our team to determine what changes would be most impactful. I then translate that feedback into engineering initiatives. This helps LeaseLock stay grounded in its purpose: solving real problems in the industry that affect the people we serve. LeaseLock’s ability to create a frictionless leasing experience and adapt its technology to solve new problems is a big part of why I love my job.

Q: What excites you about the future of LeaseLock?

A: I’m particularly excited about LeaseLock’s future in expanding our offerings and leveraging advanced analytics. I’ve played a key role in ensuring our products are seamlessly integrated with our new partners, and I’m eager to do more of that moving forward. We’re seeing great feedback and a strong desire to continue growing. My role in guiding product and operational strategies ensures that LeaseLock stays ahead of industry trends, ready to meet future challenges head-on.
